Just a few thoughts

  1. Last night ended my 7th ten week session of volunteering for MELD and I think if I am going to continue volunteering then I have to talk to someone because some changes needed to be done.
  2. Why does my husband insist on talking so much about technical stuff when I just don't understand nor do I care. As long as it works then I am good.
  3. Just two more days until September is here and hoping I don't get the birthday blues. Izzy's birthday is in September.
  4. How come adoptive parents blogs sometimes attract 300 or 400 and up followers but I don't know if I can think of one birthparent blog that has over 400 followers. Not that I am bitching I do have quite a few.
  5. Why did I get paired up with a client who is also an adoptive parent?

Not quite the same, but my boyfriend likes to talk about accounting ALL THE TIME. I don't really care about taxes, as long as mine are done properly.

I can't think of a single adoptee blog that has that many followers either. It's interesting because you'd think these APs would want to learn something from the source.

We represent the loss. People don't want to read about loss and hard things. They just want to read about how special adoption is and the fluffy parts.

Jen, you would think that AP's would want to know more about adoption coming from the adoptees side of it. However, I know it's not the same but I have quite a few adoptive parents who follow my blog and has been supportive through comments.

I meant to write that in the beginning of blogging I had a very hard time reading blogs written from adoptees cause it hurt too much to think that I could have caused this kind of pain in my daughter. Now, I have a few including your own that I read.

Society prefers to brush us under the rug instead of acknowledging how wrong it is to separate an infant from its Mother. This is why we don't have 400+ followers. Thankfully we have each other and our Birth Mother blogs.

I read a couple birth parent blogs that have huge followings. One that comes to mind is Amstel's life? Don't know the link off the top of my head.

I think everyone comes into our lives for a reason. . . sometimes it's just hard to find that reason.

Thinking of you!
