Majority of this blog is about adoption loss. I am also the Mom to a 21 year old son and a 16 year old son. I am fresh out of adoption related topics so I will use this blog to write just about whatever is going on in my life and may throw in adoption and reunion in here when the urge hits me. I recently went thru a bad divorce. I know it was quick but I found love and that has brought me much needed happiness. I may write about my relationship at times.
Happy Turkey Day!!! I hope everyone has a great day!

Thank you - I hope you had a good Thanksgiving also. I am sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your last comment. I really liked what you said about there is no "fixing it". I feel that is what I have been trying to do for a long time and of course have made myself very frustrated. I am finally realizing that I just can't. I am working hard to stop feeling so terribly guilty and angry and to forgive myself. Adoption is a strange thing. Alot of joy and sadness all wrapped up together. You had asked about my birthdaughter's relationship with my other two children. It is definitley not as close as if they had been raised together. There is not the shared experiences that regular siblings have and the age difference does not help. Have you read a book called "Birthmothers" by Merry Bloch Jones? I have found it the most helpful of any I have read. Someone had mentioned in their comment that they were excited for your new beginning. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Kelly
Hi Birthmom...I came across your blog by way of some other adoption blogs...I would love to read your private blog and read more of your story. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Grace & Peace!
I did read "Birthmother by Merry Bloch Jones" It was one of the very best. There was another that showed storied from birthmothers, adoptive mothers and adopted daughters.
Is that book also by the same author? Did you catch the new show on called "Find my Family"? I would love to follow your private blog also. Take care, Kelly
The book which I highly suggest anyone who wants to know more about adoption is called The Adoption Reader (Edited by Susan Wadia-ells) As far as my private blog, I am only allowing people who have a profile and a blog to share, because I know it's a pretty good chance that my family found my blog and have been reading. It's nothing that they did or didn't do, but I just need a private place to write and I just can't take any chances. I hope your not offended, but I have to do what feels right for me.
